Third graders are rock stars. They love to learn, they are curious, and they really start to understand big ideas. The content that I get to explore with them while they begin to develop their own unique views and personalities is amazing. Another big reason that I love third grade is that I have an amazingly supportive and talented team. 3. What is your favorite book and why? Too many to count- I originally earned my degree in English literature. If I could only read one book (or series, rather) for the rest of my life, though, it would be Harry Potter, hands down! It might be nostalgia or pure nerdiness but I can never get tired of those magical books. 4. Tell us about your favorite part of Oak Springs. I can’t pick one so I will tell you my two favorite parts. The first- I have never experienced a work environment where everyone is so considerate, welcoming, and passionate about their careers as I have at Oak Springs. The second- the scholars. There is not a single day where they do not lift me up, surprise me, and inspire me to teach for the rest of my life. 5. If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be and why? Teleportation so that I could travel the world. 6. Fun fact! I am an Army brat so I got hooked on traveling at a young age.
