I like Prof. Romero as our team lead! =) 3. What is your favorite book and why? Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen because it transports me to a time I wish I could be in. 4. Tell us about your favorite part of Oak Springs. I like how welcoming our staff and families are to new members of the team. 5. If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be and why? All of Superman's powers because he is SUPER! 6. Fun fact! I was a boxer for 8 years. Professor Rangel - PK3 Teaching Assistant1. How long have you been in your current position/teaching? Two and a half years. 2. What do you like most about your current grade/team? I enjoy the children and the overall feel of teamwork with the entire Pre-K team. 3. What is your favorite book and why? Alice in Wonderland, because of the exciting journey that she takes. 4. Tell us about your favorite part of Oak Springs. The small community. 5. If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be and why? Mind control so I can get anything I want. 6. Fun fact! I am an artist. Professor Ko - Pre-K1. How long have you been in your current position/teaching? This is my second year. 2. What do you like most about your current grade/team? My team is super helpful. Lots of support! 3. What is your favorite book and why? Harry Potter, because I grew up reading them in elementary school. 4. Tell us about your favorite part of Oak Springs. The small community. 5. If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be and why? I would teleport because I dislike traveling. Professor Makan - Pre-K1. How long have you been in your current position/teaching? Entering my 3rd year. 2. What do you like most about your current grade/team? I enjoy the breadth of the Pre-K year which includes supporting the young learner in all developmental domains and content areas and learning through play. 3. What is your favorite book and why? My favorite book is The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupery because it reminds me of the wonder of childhood. 4. Tell us about your favorite part of Oak Springs. I'm grateful for being a Pre-K teacher at Oak Springs. My favorite part of Oak Springs is my students and seeing them grow over the course of the school year. 5. If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be and why? Unconditional love. 6. Fun fact! I was born in South Africa of Indian origin. My family emigrated to the United States when I was 6 years old. Professor Romero - Pre-K Dual Language1. How long have you been in your current position/teaching? This is my 4th year teaching Pre-k. 2. What do you like most about your current grade/team? I love my team because they are great at collaborating! 3. What is your favorite book and why? Goddess of Americas, because I enjoy reading different people's interpretation of my culture. 4. Tell us about your favorite part of Oak Springs. I like that our families live so close to us. I like the small community feel. 5. If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be and why? The power to communicate with all creatures - animals and plants! 6. Fun fact! I love wolves and snakes! Professor Halliburton - PPCD1. How long have you been in your current position/teaching? This is my 12th year teaching Special Education. 2. What do you like most about your current grade/team? Special Ed is fun and engaging. 3. What is your favorite book and why? Where the Wild Things Are, because you can use your imagination! 4. Tell us about your favorite part of Oak Springs. The children! 5. If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be and why? I want to be as fast as FLASH so I can win all the Iron Mans. 6. Fun fact! I have completed 7 full distance Iron Mans! Professor Pattison - PPCD Teaching Assistant1. How long have you been in your current position/teaching? 3 years 2. What do you like most about your current grade/team? Friendly, experienced and fun! 3. What is your favorite book and why? The Napping House, by Audrey Wood 4. Tell us about your favorite part of Oak Springs. W.O.W Time 5. If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be and why? Relaxation power to calm the people of the world and have them enjoy life! 6. Fun fact! I was a cheerleader in college - GO TLC Bulldogs!

A HUUUUUUUGE THANK YOU to the sisters of AKA and Intel for their generous donation to Oak Springs. AKA supplied ALL 300 of our students with school supplies and backpacks for the year.
