Lice season never seems to leave! Please see the sheet Lice Lessons 101 for some quick information about a little pest that causes lots of scratching. While we do appreciate a heads up (no pun intended), we do protect student privacy by not sharing with other parents that there are cases of lice in the school, unless "a high percentage" of students in the same class have live lice. We count on parents to share that information with their friends, families, and their children's playmates. Because more than 90% of lice transmission occurs outside of the school setting, we also encourage parents to check their children's hair often. The AISD policy can be located on our website. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me at (512) 414-3003. I am at Oak Springs on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Nurse Loree We have a Twitter account!
